During my time at Numeroventi Artist residence I presented a photo exhibition / installation. I wasn’t able to find the specific supplies to carry out my initial plan, hence I was forced to find an alternative solution to display and arrange the exhibition.
Readjust the Route
I like to have things planned and under control. When I encounter an obstacle for the first time I usually need time to readjust the route to the new reality and be able to face the problem with a good attitude. This was one of these times. I panicked, blocked, stopped. After giving it some further thought I finally encountered an alternative solution I felt comfortable with. The new solution ended, indeed, being more in line with the DNA of my persona and my profound obsession towards furniture pieces and objects. The photo exhibition turned suddenly into a somewhat art installation.
Stop to Sharpen the Axe
It usually takes some time to accept the new reality and be able to face the problem with optimism and confidence. When encountering an unplanned obstacle or stepping out of your comfort zone, stop to sharpen the axe, tune into your soul and look out for alternative solutions that feel fresh and true to your vision—those will be ‘the ones’.

Eugenia Güeto Gómez is a visual artist working in creative direction, styling and art curation, including editorials published, among others, in INFRINGE Magazine, AnyoneGirl Magazine, MOLD Magazine, Lula Japan, and Lula UK. With a background in the fashion industry and after over three years of experience as a Social Media Manager, Editor and Content Producer at retail/clothing company ESPRIT, in 2018 she founded Oeh Studio, a multidisciplinary creative studio, in Berlin. Oeh believes in a conscious lifestyle as well as in growing through dialogues and collaborations with artists, curious minds and creative thinkers. They focus on creative direction, set design, styling and production of photoshoots for contemporary publications as well as labels within the fields of art, clothing, food, architecture, design and culture.
