Margot Lévêque On Taking the Time to Show Up Professionally

Project: Romie 2.0, 2020
Words: Margot Lévêque

I released the first version of Romie without having done the adjustments and production in a 100% professional way. I was still a student—and at school they don’t teach you how to sell typefaces!

It took a lot of trial and error, paired with patience, to reach an understanding of the business side of things. The more time you take to design a typeface, including its technical and marketing aspects, the better it gets.

Take the time and patience to understand the marketing and business side of a project.
